The Center of International and Strategic Studies Indonesia has just been ranked as #12 Top Foreign Policy and International Affairs Think Tank and #2 Top Think Tanks in Southeast Asia and the Pacific according to the 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index.

The report was published by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania based on an extensive annual process of nominations, peer and expert rankings, and an expert panel selection. TTCSP, as an initiative, has been committed to "bridge the gap between knowledge and policy" through careful review of the world's most impactful think tanks in the past three decades, including CSIS Indonesia.

In the previous 2019 Global Go To Think Tank Index, CSIS Indonesia was ranked as the #4 Top Think Tank in Southeast Asia and the Pacific and #30 Top Think Tank in Foreign Policy and International Affairs.

We are thrilled to report that we have jumped two rankings in the Southeast Asia and Pacific category this year and 18 rankings in the Foreign Policy and International Affairs category.

CSIS is motivated by the result of this year's index. While the COVID-19 pandemic has presented challenges in ways which think tanks traditionally operate, it also presented opportunities for digital transformation and amplified research outreach.

At CSIS, we believe that whether there is a global pandemic or not, we will always chase a moving target. Actors, governance, and priorities change all the time. Therefore, it only fits that we remain agile and flexible in our constant pursuit of impact and relevance.

We want to thank our researchers and supporting staff who have stepped up amidst a pandemic to further fulfil CSIS Indonesia's role as policy advisors despite unprecedented uncertainties. We would also like to thank our donors, supporters, and partners who have collaborated and supported us for almost 50 years!

We also congratulate our fellow Indonesian think tanks, Center of Indonesian Policy, SMERU Research Institute, Indonesia Corruption Watch, Center for International Forestry Research, Pusat Telaah dan Informasi Regional, Kemitraan Indonesia, Institute of National Capacity Studies, and the Economic Research and Institute for ASEAN and East Asia for their respective achievements in the ranking. We are proud to work alongside you to shape the Indonesian policymaking process and amplify Indonesia's presence in the international think tank community!

We are humbled to recite our belief in Nalar Ajar Terusan Budi, or "to think and share knowledge are the natural consequences of an enlightened mind."

Center of International and Strategic Studies Indonesia meraih peringkat # 12 Top Foreign Policy and International Affairs Think Tank dan # 2 Top Think Tanks in Southeast Asia and the Pacific menurut Global Go To Think Tank Index 2020.

Bila dibandingkan dengan laporan Global Go To Think Tank Index 2019 lalu, peringkat CSIS tahun ini mengalami peningkatan.
