“Resetting Indonesia’s Economy in the Post COVID-19 Recovery”
COVID-19 Pandemic has resulted in Indonesia's first economic recession in 22 years. Since the second quarter of 2020, our economy has contracted by about 5.32% and caused the beginning of our recession. Authorities in Indonesia have predicted that 3.5m people could lose their jobs due to the outbreak. To recover the economy, President Joko Widodo has launched a new program called “Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional” (PEN) and achieved the target of 4.5-5.5% economic growth in 2021.
