Alif Satria

Alif Satria is a Researcher in the Department of Politics and Social Change. He joined the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in 2021 after he graduated and obtained an MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University. He has focused his education and work on the issues of terrorism, intolerance, and political violence. In the past five years, he has conducted various research on radicalization processes, terrorist resilience, identity politics, and political violence in Indonesia. His articles surrounding Indonesia’s Jema’ah Islamiyah and pro-ISIS terrorist organizations have been published in edited book chapters and popular media such as The Diplomat and New Mandala.
