Indonesia's 'NO' Vote on R2P: Rectifying the Logical Fallacies

The adoption of the A/75/ L82 resolution on the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) has decided to push R2P as the annual agenda item in the UNGA Meeting and on the effort to prevent genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing, and crimes against humanity. The resolution passed with 115 countries and 28 abstain. However, among 15 countries against the resolution, Indonesia's 'NO' has invoked strong reactions from the domestic to the international community.

This webinar aims at providing public education on R2P, why it matters for Indonesia, and how the support toward R2P has strong consequences to Indonesia’s other foreign policy objectives.
